Family Support Specialist Hope Community Resources Inc. is recruiting for a Family Support Specialist. This position will be responsible for connecting families of children and adults who experience developmental disabilities with services in their community of choice. The successful candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with a diverse caseload & coordinate effectively with other agencies, state personnel, & program administrators. Must be able to coordinate services, facilitate meetings, and quality assure supports. Required Qualifications: *Strong oral & written communication skills *Three years supporting families and/or persons with developmental disabilities (i.e. parent of a child with special needs), OR *Bachelors degree in Social Work, Behavioral Sciences, Special Education, or related fields with an emphasis of study in developmental disabilities AND *Two years of previous experience working in the field of developmental disabilities. Previous training/experience in group dynamics and crisis interventions is highly desirable. Parents of children experiencing disabilities are strongly encouraged to apply. Pay rate 15.47/hr.
